Bryson James {Austin Newborn Portrait Photographer}

Baby Bryson James was born to my friends Mike and JayLee on March 22nd and I can't get enough of him!  I had the absolute pleasure of taking this handsome boy's newborn photos just a few days after he was born. He is so incredibly sweet and has no idea how much he is going to be in front of my camera as he grows up (and he will LOVE it). We definitely worked on Bryson's schedule as he was not ready for his close up at first, he needed some TLC and cuddles - which I was totally fine with!! Anyway, without further adieu - here's a few from his photo shoot!

And of course, I couldn't leave this out.  I'm sure all you parents out there recognize this face :)

Family Photos @ The Oasis! {Austin Family Photographer}

This past weekend I had the pleasure of capturing some family portraits for a family of 18! We went out to the Oasis, which is pretty much it's own city now - it's GORGEOUS.  I will definitely be shooting there again soon! With such a variety of pictures I had a hard time choosing which ones to share with you all for the sneak preview.  Lauren, thanks for thinking of me to take your family's photographs - it was so much fun and you guys all did so well! The Mackie Family {Austin Family Photographer}

Yesterday I had the pleasure of taking some portraits of the lovely Mackie family.  I have known these guys since moving to Austin in 2001! They are beautiful people both inside and out and an absolute joy to be around - so I was super excited when Gaye asked if I would take some photos for them.  Even Cleo, their sweet pup got to join us - and she behaved very well, especially when bribery of treats was involved!!
The location we chose was awesome - beautiful trees, colors, and log cabins - oh my! :)
It was hard to pick a select few to share with you guys for the sneak peek - but here are a few of my favorites, enjoy!!

Elora {Austin Family Photographer}

The other day I went to visit my friend Raine, owner of Montgomery Lane Photography, be sure to go check her out - she takes some AMAZING pictures!
Anyway, we were geeking out with our cameras and taking some photos. Raine is blessed with seriously one of the most photogenic children I've ever met, Elora.  Elora is such a goof, but she puts up with both of us shoving our camera in her face (Hence one of my favorite pictures of her, the 2nd picture, where she is making a face like she is about to kill us both)
I also managed to get a few of Raine infront of my camera, which was not easy folks!  But, thanks to this article **All you mothers out there, be sure to read it!** I got her to take a few shots.
Anyway, they have a magical backyard with the PERFECT lighting spot if you can get it at just the right time, and we sure did :)

Good news is, I've got her genes {Austin Portrait Photographer}

I posted a picture a few weeks ago to my facebook of my beautiful mother and thought I'd share a few of the other snaps we got that day. I haven't been feeling well at all lately, so I've fallen a little behind on the blogging front! Time for a new post, and who better to fill it with than my mum, also known to many as "The Carol". Me and my sister were looking through these pictures the other day and saying how gorgeous they are, so I'm posting them for you all to see :)  And yes, the good news is, I've got her genes!!

Surprise Birthday Family Portraits! {Austin Family Photographer}

When my friends, Keith and Sharon, asked me to take some family pictures for them for Keith's mother's birthday I was excited - when i found out she didn't know about the shoot and it was a surprise - I was even MORE excited. They were having a birthday dinner celebration at Hudson's on the bend, so we decided that would be an interesting spot to take some pictures!  I have never been to this restaurant - but found out what a unique menu they had, with quite the Texan ambiance! For a family of Aggies, it was the perfect place!
I'm so pleased with how the pictures turned out, I hope you guys enjoy your sneak preview - I can't wait to show you the rest!
