Carson - A meant to be model!

As my photography business grows I am trying to become more experienced in different areas of portrait photography. Well, the time finally came when I decided that I wanted to branch out to the baby scene! Erin, new mother of the gorgeous Carson Robert, gave me the privilege of taking her baby boys pictures. She picked out some ADORABLE outfits - and don't forget the hats! And Carson, why is he a meant to be model? Well, he didn't flinch once when the flash was on - he soaked it up! He didn't cry until the end when he had had enough - which is quite fair, because i took 400 shots! Libby, one of 2 cats of John & Erin's, also decided to make a brief appearance - enough time for me to snap a few pics of her with Carson! Picking out my favorites for my blog was next to impossible!! Hence, why I am putting up quite a few more than I usually do - it happens! So here are the pictures of the handsome Carson - thanks again Erin!

JWP - A future shoe photographer?

A consistent model for whenever i'm craving to pick up my camera and try something new - is my great friend Alex. So why the title? Well, being a tall girl, I can't often pull of heals - Alex, on the other hand has some of the cutest shoes and I took just as many of her shoes as I did of her! She is so great to work with - we laugh pretty much the whole time - and will do just about anything i ask her to - even hug a tree! I'm telling you - the girl works wonders! So today we went to the capital, I have taken shots here but I wanted to take a few more and work with a more artistic approach - I came away EXTREMELY happy! Here are some favs:

Kayla Class of 2009

I tell no lie when I say that Kayla was one of the GREATEST clients I have ever worked with! I would direct her into a certain position and she made it her own - and made it better! Girl has got talent! Kayla is graduating from McNeil High School this June and is counting down the days already! After trying 3 locations of the park we finally found a spot away from pool meets, boy scouts, and random groups of people - and found some great back drops! Kayla, I enjoyed your photo shoot so much - thanks to Melanie too! Here's your sneak:

It had been a while...

Since i had grabbed my camera, my tripod, and my keys and just driven around looking for inspiration. So last night I decided that it was about time to do so!! I was in the mood to take pictures but i wasn't sure of what. Yes, portrait photography is most definitely my favorite type of photography but every now and then it's good to branch out and just try taking pictures of something other than a person! So i drove around and came across a beautiful sunset and a road that led to a beautiful drive through trees covered on either side that looked like a fairy-tale forest, it was GORGEOUS, there was no city, no man made lights - amazing. So whenever i saw something interesting I would stop and snap a picture. I thought I would share a few with you all -
